Creating Your Own Oasis at the Sydney Poolscapes Aquatic Centre

As the sun rises, before the surfers and soft sand runners, swimmers clutching towels head to Sydney’s iconic ocean pools. These beautiful patches of tamed sea, flanked by cliffs and framed by glistening sand, have been our constant pleasure for more than 200 years. They’re our beaches, our playgrounds, and the inspiration for countless artists who have captured their beauty. Each day, before the waves and surfers arrive, pilgrims clutching goggles and towels cut through the spray of crashing waves to swim, float or sit in the cold, salty water. Photographers come early, too, seeking to capture their favourite angles and savoring the same views that have attracted them for generations.

While nine in 10 Australians live within 20 minutes of an aquatic centre, access isn’t equal. For example, outer suburbs like Parramatta and Mosman have more than 134,000 residents per aquatic centre, while inner-city areas have just over 7,000 residents per facility. Many pools, particularly those located in rural and regional areas, are only open seasonally, further limiting access.

A recent survey conducted by SPASA found that pools are top of mind for Australian families. This is reflected in the claimed increase of visitation at February’s Sydney Pool & Spa Expo by 24 per cent and the Victorian show that also saw a reported visitor increase of 22 per cent.

Whether you’re looking to create your very own backyard oasis or a simple lap pool, the possibilities are endless. At Sydney Poolscapes, our expert team can help you design a beautiful and functional swimming pool that will add value to your home. We are a family-owned business with a passion for creating pools that are uniquely customised to suit your lifestyle and the needs of your family.

Our clients can choose from a wide range of pools that are available in the market, including fibreglass and concrete pools. Each pool is custom-designed and built by our highly trained team. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their vision for their pool is realised, with the result being a pool that looks stunning and functions well.

After obtaining all of the required approvals, our skilled construction team at Sydney Poolscapes will arrive on-site to commence excavating and installing your new pool. Once the pool shell has been delivered, it will be carefully lifted and adjusted into position. Temporary fencing will then be placed to protect the pool area while it’s under construction. This is to protect your property and our construction crews during the installation process. Once the pool is complete, it will be inspected by our quality control team before it’s ready for you to enjoy.
